I am usually an advocate for the smaller bag designers, I mean Gucci can take it if we rip on one of their bags but the upstart bag designers struggle to make their place in the bag world and we like to support them. However, there are times that I must (politely) point out the obvious and give constructive criticism. This is such a time. Jerome Dreyfuss as a whole show promise but this mish mash of materials is lost on me. I like the shape and the crocodile strap is even interesting but dalmation print ponyhair, ostrich, AND gold python?! Add the chain, exposed zipper trim and contrasting colors and you have too much for one bag to handle. I would have liked to see this made entirely of one skin with a single contrast crocodile strap.
